2 killed in Cajon Pass head-on collision Two vehicles collided head-on in San Bernardino County Wednesday afternoon, killing both drivers instantly, authorities said.The crash happened around 1:30 p.m. on Cajon Boulevard at Keenbrook Road along the Cajon Pass.The drivers of a white pickup truck and a grey sedan were the only occupants of the vehicles, according to the San Bernardino County Fire Department. Despite airbags deploying, both were pronounced dead at the scene.Both directions of Cajon Boulevard were closed for the investigation.The California Highway Patrol and the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department are investigating the cause of the crash.

Man arrested in apparent kidnapping that was caught on camera in Commerce A man has been arrested in connection with an apparent kidnapping that was captured on camera in Commerce Tuesday afternoon.At 4:21 p.m., a woman was quickly walking down Couts Avenue while talking on a cell phone when a man pulled up, the LASD said in a news release.The man, who exited his silver 2016-17 Kia Rio with a handgun, pistol-whipped the woman and dragged her into the car's passenger seat before driving away, the LASD added.The man was taken into custody around 2 p.m. and was arrested on suspicion of kidnapping.The woman remains at large. Driver who ran down young mother, daughter in Mid-Wilshire may have suffered medical emergency: LAPD The driver who slammed into a mother and her child as they walked to school in L.A.’s Mid-Wilshire neighborhood Tuesday morning may have suffered a medical emergency prior to the crash, police said Wednesday. The crash happened just before 8 a.m. in the 6200 block of West Colgate Avenue, across the street from Hancock Park Elementary.Police had previously said the male driver of a white pickup truck was speeding when he struck a woman in her 30s and her 6-year-old daughter in an intersection, struck a light pole, and then crashed into an apartment building.The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
