SAN FRANCISCO — The Giants’ shorthanded lineup got one step closer to returning to full strength Sunday, activating Joc Pederson (wrist) from the injured list and inserting the impactful left-handed bat into the middle of their order against Mets right-hander Tylor Megill.Pederson missed nine games, spending one more than the minimum 10 days on the IL, after waking up one morning during their last home stand with a sore and swollen right wrist. While he initially received a cortisone shot that Pederson said was effective, it wasn’t enough to keep him off the IL.“It feels good to have him back,” manager Gabe Kapler said. “He was our best left-handed bat against right-handed pitching last year. A force right in the middle of our lineup and a guy other teams don’t want to face.”Pederson returned to the cleanup spot Sunday. In his absence, the Giants’ offense has nosedived, from the No. 2 OPS against right-handed pitching (.864) before Pederson...Warriors even up series 2-2 with win over Sacramento Kings
